Blake R. Bauer joined Marso & Michelson, P.A. in 2014 and brought with him the experience of having worked extensively on both civil consumer and criminal cases while clerking for the Honorable Joanne M. Smith in Ramsey County District Court. He now uses that experience to represent clients in a wide range of cases and help them to achieve the most desirable outcomes.

Blake was born and has lived in the Twin Cities area his entire life. He attended Our Lady of Grace Middle School and graduated from the Academy of Holy Angels in 2006. He played basketball at Saint John’s University and graduated in 2010 with a double major in political science and psychology. He earned his Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in 2013.
Blake excelled at William Mitchell, ranking in the top tier of his class. During his time at William Mitchell, Blake was on the William Mitchell Law Review as both a Staff Member and as an Editor. He concentrated his studies on litigation, and after his first year he began clerking for the Honorable Joanne M. Smith in Ramsey County District Court. While working full time and attending school part time, Blake worked with Judge Smith on hundreds of cases ranging from misdemeanor crimes and consumer credit cases to first-degree murder trials.
Blake was admitted to practice law in the State of Minnesota in 2014. Shortly thereafter, he joined Marso & Michelson to use his expertise and passion to help clients in their time of need. He focuses his practice on consumer law litigation, criminal defense, and bankruptcy. Mr. Bauer enjoys helping individuals find the best possible resolution during difficult times. In his free time, Blake enjoys fishing, playing golf, and planning his upcoming wedding.
